EditText не будет отображаться над ListView

У меня есть действие ListView, и я хочу, чтобы EditText (и в конечном итоге кнопка вместе с ним) отображался над ним.

Я считаю, что мой xml в порядке, но по какой-то причине EditText не отображается. ListView занимает весь экран: (

Вот как выглядит мой XML:

Есть идеи?

Примечание. На вкладке макета XML-файла в Eclipse отображается EditText. Когда я запускаю свое приложение в эмуляторе, оно не запускается.

добавить android:layout_weight="1" в ListView xml
