Android HTTP Patch Request

Я пытаюсь заставить приложение для Android отправить запрос на исправление в веб-службу REST для обновления одного конкретного поля в базе данных.

Служба REST принимает запрос PATCH в форме объекта JSON.

Каков наилучший способ заставить приложение для Android отправлять запрос на исправление, насколько я понимаю, исправление не очень хорошо поддерживается на Android?
