Я добавил Firebase в свое приложение, и оно показывает, что эти зависимости могут быть обновлены до более новых версий.

Я знаю о других тех же вопросах, но версии appcompat и Firebase отличаются.

Я решил это, добавив

implementation 'com.android.support:support-media-compat:27.1.1'
implementation 'com.android.support:support-v4:27.1.1'

Просто скопируйте второе имя библиотеки из сообщения об ошибке, добавьте его к dependencies и измените его версию на ту же, что и первое имя библиотеки.
