R в Ubuntu 16.04: rgl не будет правильно установлен

В Linux Mint MATE 19.1 (а ранее в 19 и 18.3!)

Я сделал

sudo apt-get install libftgl2 

потом попробовал

sudo apt-get install libfreetype6

, который уже был установлен и не исправил его.

Проблема не в R. Похоже, что для этой установки в Ubuntu отсутствуют некоторые необходимые пакеты.

Попробуйте установить пакет libftgl2 из терминала. Вы можете использовать этот код:
