Для всех, кто наткнулся на эту тему и не удовлетворен приведенным выше ответом (вы должны задавать вопросы каждый раз, когда видите «это работает» без «потому что ...»), обратите внимание, что если вы используете внешний файл buildscript, такой как OP и попытка настроить задачи, реальная проблема заключается в том, что плагин сценария ClassLoader изолирован от проекта buildscript ClassLoader, экземпляры java.lang.Class, представляющие тип com.github.spotbugs.SpotBugsTask, отличаются, поэтому вызов withType не совпадать с чем угодно.

Наконец-то удалось найти решение.

Мне пришлось добавить следующее в раздел, где я применяю все плагины в моем файле app / build.gradle:

project.extensions.extraProperties.set('SpotBugsTask', com.github.spotbugs.SpotBugsTask)

Так что в итоге это выглядело так:
