Я использую очень крутой pydap-сервер xarray (http://xarray.pydata.org/en/stable/io.html#opendap) для чтения данных, сохраненных через OPenDAP в IRI:

Для справки это субсезонные прогнозные данные, где L - время выполнения заказа (45-дневный прогноз), S - дата инициализации, а M - ансамбль.

Я хотел бы создать ансамбль, и меня интересует только уровень 500 гПа. Тем не менее, он вылетает и дает RuntimeError: NetCDF: Access failure:

Если разбить расчет, удаляется RuntimeError. Думаю, это был слишком большой расчет со всеми временами старта. Не должно быть слишком сложно поставить цикл над S:

Это хороший сценарий использования при разбивке с помощью dask, например,

remote_data = xr.open_dataarray(url, chunks={'S': 1, 'L': 1})
da = remote_data.sel(P=500)
da_ensmean = da.mean(dim='M')

Эта версия будет получать доступ к серверу данных параллельно, используя множество кусков меньшего размера. Загрузка 231 ГБ данных будет все еще медленной, но ваш запрос будет иметь гораздо лучшие шансы на успех.
