Управление транзакциями в приложениях Spring

Я использую springboot для разработки своего приложения. В сервисе я вызываю метод с именем submitPostDetails () -> Этот метод отправляет запрос методу X () Dao вместе с некоторыми параметрами и вставляет разместить информацию в системе.

Как только это будет сделано, тот же метод в dao вызывает другой метод Y () для обновления некоторых записей в другой таблице. Теперь меня беспокоит то, что, если первый метод выполняется, а второй создает исключение. Я хотел бы откат вставки, выполненной первым методом, если произойдет какое-либо исключение. Пробовал использовать @Transactional, но он не работал

Каждый вызываемый метод должен быть в одной транзакции -> должен иметь @Transactional аннотацию.

Если вы решили перехватить свое исключение и хотите откатить его, вам нужно сбросить его, например: 

try {
    doSomething();
catch (Exception e) {
    logger.error("exception occurred", e);
    throw new MyException(e);
}

Тогда вы можете использовать в своей аннотации:

@Transactional(rollbackFor=MyExceptoin.class)

Это должно сработать.
