Не удалось добавить новый каталог в мой существующий проект в Heroku

Невозможно добавить новую папку в существующий проект. В моем проекте я добавил новый каталог в projects/, но git add . не работает. Также пробовал git add projects/ . безуспешно.

Я могу нажать на корень сайта, но не на projects/.

Не знаю как, но у меня был .git tracking файл в projects/ директории.Итак, я запускаю rm -rf .git* и проблема устранена.
