Уведомления не работают на Api 27 (8.1.0)

Уведомления отлично работают для Oreo 8.0 (Api 26) и ниже, но не работают с Oreo 8.1.0.

ниже - трассировка стека ошибки

В API уровня 27 Google изменил методы уведомлений, теперь в API 27 или более высоком уровне вам необходимо создать канал уведомлений для отправки уведомлений.

Канал - категории, все типы уведомлений узнают больше о канале уведомлений

отметьте для канала уведомлений

Измените конструктор NotificationCompat.Builder: 

NotificationCompat.Builder mBuilder = new NotificationCompat.Builder(context);

, добавив идентификатор канала:

                new NotificationCompat.Builder(context, NOTIFICATION_CHANNEL_ID)
...
