Я работаю с плагином markjs, в частности с панелью поиска с примером перехода к совпадениям

Есть верхняя строка с вводом, мы набираем текст и нажимаем на поиск.Плагин выделяет слова, а затем мы переходим к совпадениям с помощью кнопок.

Я хочу сделать простое предупреждение javascript, когда оно возвращается к в первый раз , как я могу это сделать?

Вы можете поместить условие в событие нажатия следующей и предыдущей кнопок 

if(currentIndex == 0){
   alert('this is first');
}
