CheckMysqlReplicationStatus CRITICAL: неопределенный метод `кодирование 'для nil: NilClass

Question

sensu CheckMysqlReplication.rb на серверах БД возвращает неопределенный метод `encoding 'для nil: NilClass при выполнении в mysql 8.0.13-4 с использованием latin1 в качестве имени набора символов по умолчанию.До этой ошибки CheckMysqlReplication.rb прекрасно работал на mysql 5.0 с UTF-8 в качестве кодировки по умолчанию.
