Получите ошибки, когда @SpringBootApplication использует @EnableAutoConfiguration при загрузке Spring

Я новичок в java и Spring boot. Я следую инструкциям по ссылке https://docs.spring.io/spring-boot/docs/2.2.0.RELEASE/reference/html/getting-started.html#getting-started
моя директория просто имеет простую структуру: 

src/main/java/Example.java   
pom.xml

в моем Example.java:

@EnableAutoConfiguration
public class Example {

    @RequestMapping("/")

    }

}

в моем pom.xml

и когда и набираешь команду mvn spring-boot:run, тогда все хорошо.

Но когда я заменяю @EnableAutoConfiguration на @SpringBootApplicationтогда я получаю ошибку журнала в терминале, когда набираю команду mvn spring-boot:run

Это может быть ошибкой, если вы не используете структуру пакета. @SpringBootApplication является синтаксическим сахаром для аннотаций @Configuration, @EnableAutoConfiguration и @ComponentScan. @ComponentScan без параметров, сканирует пакет аннотированного класса, ищет компоненты. Если пакет не определен, Spring Container попытается найти нужные bean-компоненты в пакете по умолчанию.

В журналах написано:

Убедитесь, что ваша собственная конфигурация не зависит отэтот класс. Это также может произойти, если вы @ComponentScanning пакета springframework (например, если вы по ошибке поместили @ComponentScan в пакет по умолчанию)

Попробуйте поместить класс в пакет.
