SASS :: syntaxerror Неопределенная переменная $ mq-m-max

Question

У меня ошибка SASS :: syntaxerror. Неопределенная переменная $ mq-m-max при попытке включить файл sass в мой проект ruby.

Я переименовал файл application.css в application.scss, поэтому здесьэто мое приложение.

Я не понимаю, почему это не работает, переменные вызываются перед миксинами. В моем application.scss путь к _mixins и _variables работает хорошо
