Я пытаюсь добавить Jest-тестирование в проект, который использует svelte-material-ui.

Я неграмотен с Джестом, Бабелем и др. c. поэтому не спрашивайте меня почему, но вы должны переименовать ваш .babelrc.json в babel.config.js и экспортировать вашу конфигурацию из этого файла:

Ваше сообщение об ошибке похоже на файлы из smui, в node_modules не переносятся (следовательно, заканчиваются import в середине iife, что запрещено даже в ES6), и поэтому я нашел этот комментарий , предоставляющий решение.

Далее Button - это экспорт по умолчанию @smui/button, поэтому измените:

import { Button } from '@smui/button';

на:

import Button from '@smui/button';

Этот, я уверен, вы бы нашли себя.
