Как сделать так, чтобы текстовая кнопка автоматически менялась, чтобы соответствовать кнопке

хочу спросить, как сделать текст на кнопке, чтобы автоматически настроить его размер, чтобы соответствовать кнопке. Я попытался установить 

android:autoSizeTextType="uniform"

, но это не работает, и текст все равно в итоге становится 2-й строкой, и когда я положил 

android:maxLines="1"

какая-то его часть пропала, есть ли способ автоматического изменения размера текста, чтобы он соответствовал кнопке, чтобы она имела максимальную длину в 1 строку и отображал весь текст программно или xml?

Я новичок ie, поэтому любые советы будут действительно оценены. Заранее спасибо

На основе документации свойство autoSizeTextType работает только на TextView .

Измените кнопку на TextView: 

<TextView
    android:id="@+id/btnAcc"
    android:layout_width="0dp"
    android:layout_height="wrap_content"
    android:layout_weight="1"
    android:text="ACCEPT"
    android:autoSizeTextType="uniform"
    android:maxLines="1"/>

А затем определите для него метод onClick: 

android:onClick="onButtonClick"

, чтобы он работал как кнопка.

Также имейте в виду, что свойство autoSizeTextType доступно начиная с от Android 8,0 (уровень API 26)

вы можете использовать RelaytiveLayout и textview вместо кнопки. и создайте нарисованный дизайн тени для своего Относительного расположения, тогда это похоже на кнопку. и вы можете указать ширину вашего относительного макета и указать родителя текста для вашего текста.
