Я новичок в Xcode и Swift, после обучения и обнаружил проблему, когда вызвал UIView перед табличным представлением, чтобы пользователь мог создать что-то новое

Вы делаете очень распространенную ошибку. Строка 

let addChannel = ChannelVC()

создает новый экземпляр контроллера, который не является экземпляром в раскадровке. Поэтому розетки не подключены, и код выходит из строя.

Замените его на (измените идентификатор соответственно) 

let storyboard = UIStoryboard(name: "Main", bundle: nil)
let addChannel = storyboard.instantiateViewController(withIdentifier: "ChannelVC") as! ChannelVC

или создайте переход.

...
