Требует ли nginx директива set_real_ip_from для заголовка $ http_x_forwarded_for?

Нужны ли мне следующие директивы nginx, если я использую Cloudflare и использую заголовок "$ http_x_forwarded_for", который включает в себя входящие запросы по умолчанию?

Я просто не понимаю, зачем мне использовать первый блок, если работает второй (директива log)? Cloudflare рекомендует первый блок здесь: https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200170786

Мои файлы журналов, кажется, работают отлично, но когда я прочитал о вышеупомянутой директиве, я запутался, как будто я что-то упустил фундаментальна.
