Установка PIL на Cygwin

Я все утро изо всех сил пытался установить PIL на Cygwin. Ошибки, которые я получаю, не соответствуют распространенным ошибкам, которые я обнаруживаю с помощью Google. Возможно, в этом выводе гуру Linux видит очевидную проблему:

Похоже, вам нужно установить GNU libC, потому что syslimits.h; limits.h; errno.h; stdlib.h; все принадлежит assert.h и т. д.

Для Windows вы получаете двоичные установщики; Если вы не хотите создавать PIL под CYGWIN, вы можете выбрать один из них, http://www.pythonware.com/products/pil/#Downloads

Вы можете скачать свежий бинарный файл cygwin и установить библиотеки изображений в разделе Python. Это сделает PIL доступным для использования с cygwin python 2.7.
