Разбор гугл фида с linq в xml

Я пытаюсь проанализировать фид XML, полученный через API контактов Google, с помощью LINQ 2 XML.Вот как выглядит фид:

Я пробовал несколько вещей с linq 2 sql, но они не работали.Даже этот простой код не работает: 

using (FileStream stream = File.OpenRead("response.xml"))
{

    XmlReader reader = XmlReader.Create(stream);

    XDocument doc = XDocument.Load(reader);

    XElement feed = doc.Element("feed");
    if (feed == null) 
    {
        Console.WriteLine("feed not found");
    }

    XElement id = doc.Element("id");
    if (id == null) 
    {
        Console.WriteLine("id is null");
    }
}

Проблема в том, что здесь и id, и feed равны нулю.Что я не так делаю?

Вам нужно будет указать пространство имен элемента в вашем Xname: 

           XElement feed = doc.Element("{http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom}feed");
            if (feed == null)
            {
                Console.WriteLine("feed not found");
            }

Для этого вам не нужен Linq to XML: вы можете использовать класс SyndicationFeed вместо

...
