В очень, очень широком смысле, UPDATE... from... должно работать здесь.Один из возможных шаблонов:

UPDATE TableName
 set ColName = Alias2.OtherColName
 from TableName Alias1
  inner join OtherTableName Alias2
   on JoinCriteria
 where FilteringCriteria

Как и в случае с инструкциями SELECT, «OtherTableName» можно заменить большинством любых подзапросов таблиц.

Здесь я бы выбрал таблицу, которую нужно обновить, поместитеон как первый из перечисленных в предложении «from», затем присоедините его соответствующим образом к тому, что будет подзапросом монстра (без предложения ORDER BY).
