Кажется, что ОП означает сумму двух КОЛОНН в одной строке.

SELECT platos + mhkos AS totals FROM carpets_1 WHERE id = %s

Если ОП хочет получить сумму всех столбцов и строк, это будет

SELECT sum(platos) as totalPlatos, sum(mhkos) as totalMhkos FROM carpets_1

Вопрос кажется довольно запутанным.Поэтому я склоняюсь к начальным двум столбцам и одному ряду.
