Кажется, это ошибка в Microsoft WPF DataGrid. Обязательно сообщите об этом через Microsoft Connect , если вы этого еще не сделали.

В качестве обходного пути вы можете использовать конвертер значений для ваших привязок, чтобы предотвратить передачу значений NULL на цели привязки в источник привязки, что приведет к исключению NullReferenceException . Вот пример такого конвертера:
