ASP.NET MVC3: TryUpdateModel выдает исключение

У меня есть вид, который принимает следующую модель: 

Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage<MVC_WordsByME.Models.JobCreationModel>"

Это сообщение возвращает к следующему действию:

Однако при повторной публикации выдается следующее исключение:

Невозможно привести объект типа 'System.Int32' к типу 'System.String'.

Хотя я не могу выделить это здесь, это строка 137, в которой происходит исключение. Я не могу войти в этот метод, так как я могу определить причину этого исключения?

Кроме того, TryUpdateModel не должен защищать меня от каких-либо исключений, просто возвращая true или false для отражения результата? Я не знал, что он может вызвать исключение.

Не знаю, почему возникает это исключение, не видя вашу модель и вид кода, но попробуйте упростить ваше действие следующим образом: 

[HttpPost]
public ActionResult Create(JobCreationModel job)
{
    if (!ModelState.IsValid)
    {
        return View(job);
    }
    _jobRepository.AddJob(job);
    _jobRepository.Save();
    return RedirectToAction("Index");
}

Я изменил: 

[StringLength(3)]
public int? GroupID { get; set; }

на: 

public int? GroupID { get; set; }

Итак, атрибут StringLength создавал проблемы, потому что GroupID был int?и, как кажется, атрибут StringLength действителен только для строк.
