Ранее я делал нечто подобное, используя Capybara :: Node :: Simple , что позволяет вам использовать множество сопоставителей Capybara только для одной строки.

Хотя я не уверен, почему вы сделали это в своих тестах, это означает, что вам нужно загрузить это в браузер. Почему бы не записать строку в файл и visit файл с помощью capybara-webkit (или любого другого браузера, который может обрабатывать page.save_screenshot)
