Рекурсивная функция для категории и подкатегории

Мне нужна помощь относительно рекурсивной функции. У нас есть таблица категорий, содержащая category_id, category_name и parent_id: 

category_id  category_name  parent_id

Нам нужен вывод категории, как показано ниже, с использованием рекурсивной функции: 

Agriculture > Rice > White rice  
Agruculture > Rice > Basmati rice

Хотя это не совсем та же схема, что и у вас для таблицы, эта статья очень полезна для выполнения чего-то очень похожего на то, что вы пытаетесь сделать.Прочитайте и посмотрите, что вы думаете, это действительно помогло мне в первый раз, когда я попытался создать древовидную структуру, подобную вашей.

Довольно просто сделать это за один вызов из PHP в MySQL, используя реализацию хранимых процедур с нерекурсивным списком / смежностью.

Что-то вроде? 

function recursiveCategory($categoryId) {

        $content .= " > ".$recursiveCategory($Category["category_parent"]);
    }

    return $content;
}

Кроме того, не используйте значение 0 в parent_id, если у категории нет родителя. Вместо этого используйте null.
