Значение не отображается, хотя оно есть в HTML

У меня есть форма, которая показывает и скрывает определенные поля в зависимости от того, какое значение имеет определенное поле, javascript, который делает это ниже,

Как видите, поле production_details имеет значение, но я ничего не вижу в поле само по себе.

Я вижу значение отличнокогда я удаляю javascript, так что я могу только предполагать, что там есть ошибка, однако я ее не вижу.

Вы устанавливаете val в пустую строку.

Важная часть:

if(... jQuery("#type").val() == "commercial"){
    jQuery('..., .commercial')...val('');
}
