Непонятная установка Python в локальной системе пользователя (virtualenv, pip, распространять)

Я попытался установить Python ниже. Но это не сработало. Это принимает «ошибка: неверный каталог установки или PYTHONPATH».

Как правильно установить pip, virtualenv и распространять для Python?

Сделать каталог 

$ mkdir -p ~/.python

Добавить .bashrc 

#Use local python
export PATH=$HOME/.python/bin:$PATH
export PYTHONPATH=$HOME/.python

Создать файл ~ / .pydistutils.cfg 

[install]
prefix=~/.python

Получить скрипт установки 

$ cd ~/src
$ curl -O http://python-distribute.org/distribute_setup.py

Выполнить и Ошибка 

$ python ./distribute_setup.py

Я выбрал питонаЯ могу использовать несколько Питонов в моем домашнем каталоге.Это отличная работа.

Обычно я устанавливал распределенную / easy_install aka setuptools в своей глобальной установке Python вместе с virtualenv.С этого момента я могу создавать выделенные виртуализированные среды, используя 

virtualenv --no-site-packages name-of-environment

На самом деле не знаю, зачем возиться с PYTHONPATH здесь.

Добавление / path / to / name-of-environment / bin в $ PATH достаточно для добавления виртуализированного Python в ваш $ PATH.Вам больше ничего не нужно.
