Linq to XML для генерации DDL

Question

Мы сохраняем определение базы данных как XML в формате в конце этого вопроса. У меня проблема с получением списка схем, таблиц в этих схемах, столбцов в этих таблицах (все со связанной информацией). Мой текущий код (включенный ниже образца XML) захватывает все, полностью игнорируя вложение и, из-за нескольких схем, возвращает каждую таблицу / столбец несколько раз.

Один из способов справиться с необязательными элементами состоит в том, чтобы xml содержал пустые элементы, когда значение отсутствует, как в комментарии к этому столбцу:
