как libusb может понять начало чтения?

На стороне хоста, как понять, что устройство хочет отправлять данные, используя libusb-1.0? Я имею в виду способы кроме опроса или установки временного интервала. Есть ли способ получить его на основе сигналов, прерываний и т. Д.?
