Powershell 5.1 document из New-Alias:

Примечания Чтобы создать новый псевдоним, используйте Set-Alias ​​или New-Alias. Чтобы изменить псевдоним, используйте Set-Alias. Чтобы удалить псевдоним, используйте Remove-Item.

Так что в Powershell 5.x вы должны использовать Remove-Item. В приведенном выше комментарии Remove-Alias поддерживается только в PowerShell 6.
