Я хочу отправлять уведомления в Android API <26, но я сталкиваюсь с этой ошибкой. </p>

Я думаю, что у меня также есть проблема с моим файлом Gradle.

Я попытался добавить оператор if с условием android.os.Build.VERSION.SDK_INT >= android.os.Build.VERSION_CODES.O но тогда он не работает на API менее 26. Нам нужно, чтобы он работал на API 18.

Примеры включают: com.android.support:animated-vector-drawable:28.0.0 и com.android.support:palette-v7:25.1.1 less ... (Ctrl + F1)

Вам необходимо использовать NotificationChannel на уровне API> = 26 и использовать NotificationCompat.Builder для создания Уведомления.Итак, измените ваш код на что-то вроде этого:
