Как изменить размер пользовательского представления, зависит от дочернего списка - PullRequest

У меня есть пользовательское представление (расширяет LinearLayout), которое содержит RecyclerView. Когда я добавляю новые элементы, RecyclerView не меняет размер. Я думаю, проблема в том, что мой пользовательский вид не дает достаточно места для RecyclerView. Вопрос: Как изменить высоту пользовательского представления, зависит от размера chlid recylerview?

Если я не прав, поправьте меня, пожалуйста

Укажите высоту вашего элемента внутри RecyclerView Адаптер, как показано ниже:

LinearLayout.LayoutParams relParams = new LinearLayout.LayoutParams(LinearLayout.LayoutParams.MATCH_PARENT,
                LinearLayout.LayoutParams.WRAP_CONTENT);
relParams.height = 100;
relParams.width = Utility.getScreenWidth(mContext);
holder.yourDesireView.setLayoutParams(relParams);

Вот метод калькулятора ширины экрана:
