Создан набор маркеров, которые можно использовать для изменения размера фигуры. Отслеживая изменения положения ручек, вы вычисляете новую геометрию фигуры.

Я не могу добавить несколько объектов на сцену.

Я ожидаю, что несколько объектов (прямоугольников) будут расположены на сцене, и каждый из них может быть свободно перемещен.

Вы добавили только один GraphicsRectItem, поэтому вы видите только один элемент. Если вы хотите увидеть больше, вам нужно создать еще GraphicsRectItem и добавить их в сцену с помощью addItem:
